i want to say that i am going to start posting on this blog again - i don't know why i ever stopped, but i think it has to do with my increasingly high stress level - but i don't know if it's going to happen. fall feels like it's here and i don't know where the summer ever went, work is getting monotonous and i no longer enjoy going, my applications to medical school started off well but have started backing up and now i feel like i will never get done - basically i am in a huge rut and i need to dig myself out. i am still excited about some things - kp moving to philadelphia, my new apartment, canning (i made some really good bread & butter pickles), interviews (i have 3 so far), swimming (i joined a gym w a pool!) - but my stress level is too high to really enjoy anything right now, especially because i feel paralyzed when it comes to the application situation.
i think i
will start posting here though because it gives me a place to stay focused on things i am excited about, which i think is important. i need to get back in the groove, big time, and i think the first step is definitely UNPACKING, because after a month our apartment still looks like it did the day or so after we moved in. after unpacking i will post some pics, which will give me motivation, i think. i feel like i have been in transition for so long, being away every weekend, which has been fun but ultimately i need some routine in my life and it needs to start at home. new apartment has yet to feel like home.
so maybe this will become something that is more for myself than anyone else and no one will read it but i think that is ok - although i guess that defeats the purpose of a blog, but i don't really know. i feel weird about this but i'm just going to take the plunge.
the above picture is of maude, for no other reason than that i love her even though i have only met her 3 times. luv u maude.
